컴퓨터, 전화, 문자 등 소통을 위한 수단을 늘어났지만 정작 마음을 움직이는 소통에는 목마른 시대이다. 사람들은 저마다 소통을 위한 창구를 찾고자 하지만 바쁜 일상 속에서 소중한 사람을 잊고 지내기도 한다.
이 작품은 ‘우리‘라는 관계에 주목하여 예비엄마와 아빠 또는 아동 결연 후원자와 후원 아동과 같이 소중한 사람들과의 소통을 위해 만들었다.
‘우리에그‘는 아주 작은 손짓만으로도 서로의 존재를 느낄 수 있게 도와주는 원격 커뮤니케이션 도구이다. 생명을 상징하는 알을 형상화하여 만들었으며, 두 개의 같은 알 모양이 한 쌍을 이룬다.
상대를 생각하며 알을 어루만지면 상대방의 알도 동일하게 움직이며, 은은한 빛과 함께 들리는 심장박동소리는 마치 살아있는 듯한 느낌을 준다.
‘우리에그‘는 서로의 마음을 연결해주는 감정 메신저로서 말로 다 전하지 못하는 따뜻한 진심을 전하고자 한다.
Computer, telephone, text messages, has increased as technologies develop fast and change. But still we pass though busy days of our lives we are looking for better desire of communication methods and looking for the new ways of communication with people we love and care.
It is named as the egg for us and it means as “We”.
Our work is rethought of “We” which could be feature parents, sponsor, friends and person be loved.
And it is about communication between those who you care as one which we think is “We”.
The egg for us is a device that uses long distance remote/control communication. There are two eggs as one set and the shape of en egg signify a life. Each egg can deliver little touch or push to the other.
When communication is activated it creates the subdued lights and sound of heart beating and as the eggs interacting each other, it is actually looks being alive. So communicators can feel as they are emotionally being closed to each other.
The egg for us is created to make warm emotional communication for those who could not deliver their true feelings with the words and voices. And we hope the egg for us can create new way of simple emotional communication.
